Believe it or not, in the summertime, it is very common to see beautiful girls hitch-hiking all day and even late into the night. _____________________ My Vacation Rental in Florianopolis, Brazil This beautiful townhouse is located just a few minutes walk from one of the most beautiful & popular beaches in Florianopolis, a beach called Praia Mole (or "soft beach" translated and pronounced Praia Moley). To the locals, this beach is specifically known for being the beach for "beautiful people" and big pumping surf and is my personal favorite in Brazil. I especially recommend it for any single guys out there looking to meet a beautiful Brazilian woman. I personally live there about 6 months per year with my Brazilian wife, who I met during my first trip to Florianopolis. Florianopolis (aka Floripa for short) is the capital of Santa Catarina (a state in south Brazil). Florianopolis is a large island (about 22 miles long) with 42 different beaches. With the beautiful lagoon on one side of the house and the beach on the other, you are literally surrounded by water and nature. We call this area the filet mignon of the island due to it's beautiful and convenient location, just a few minutes drive to many resturaunts, bars, clubs, and grocery stores. And being just a 5 minute walk to Praia Mole beach means you can bypass all of the high-season afternoon traffic (people leaving the beach), which turns to gridlock for a few hours per day, making this convenient location extremely desirable. Included is a "Renter's Hand-Book" which outlines many activities and points out all of the good restaurants, night clubs, and beaches with directions to most of them. NIGHT-LIFE TOUR GUIDES... That's right! You can have your own personal nightlife tour guide & designated driver. Florianopolis is popular for having some of the best nightlife in South America but you need to know where to go and how to do it, something you don't want to waste a week figuring out for yourself. I can provide you with a personal tour guide who is bilingual and has a lot of experience in the nightlife department and knows the island well. Your tour guide will know which nightclubs are hopping on which nights, can reserve a VIP table for your party, help you meet beautiful Brazilian women, provide translation services for your new acquaintances, and also be your designated driver. The cost is just about 100 Reais/night (about $50) plus any nightclub cover fees, which usually isn't much ($10-$30 USD per night depending on where you go). ____________________ Florianopolis, Brazil Airport Florianopolis Airport Code: FLN There are no direct flights to Florianopolis from outside South America. You will either have to route through Sao Paulo or Rio De Janeiro. Make sure you have at least a 3 hour layover before your connecting flight to Florianopolis because you will have to pick up your luggage, go through customs with your luggage, and then check back in to your connecting flight. If you end up with a really long layover in Sao Paulo, there is a hotel on the bottom floor of the Airport that rents rooms by the hour. It's a very nice high-end hotel. The first hour is $50 and then $10 or $20 per hour thereafter. Depending on the length of your layover, it could be well worth it. AIRPORT PICKUP SERVICE: I can provide you with an Airport Pickup and either give you a ride or, if you're renting your own car, they can give you an escort to the house so you don't get lost. They will have the house keys for you and a remote control to the front security gate for a smooth and easy entrance. Florianopolis, Brazil Car Rental I highly recommend renting a car, as some of the nightclubs are a 20-30 minute drive from the house, as are some other beaches that you may want to visit. You can rent a car at the Florianopolis airport but I can get you a rental car for half the price of Hertz or Avis so check with me before making a car reservation.
